Yes, the Los Angeles branch of NGA began when members were traveling amid orange groves by horse and buggy.
With an almost 20% increase in membership this year, volunteers are clearly eager to give back to the community and return to normalcy.
Despite the global pandemic forcing the cancellation of our annual fundraiser, we still received much needed donations enabling us to continue to serve the community.
Clothing, linens, and personal care items. Due to the global pandemic, NGA Hancock Park provided more high ticket items in 2021.
NGA Hancock Park is an all-volunteer women's nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles whose mission is to provide new clothing, household linens and personal care items to needy men, women and children in the Hollywood and Downtown areas of Los Angeles. NGA Hancock Park distributes these much needed items through a network of local partner charities which provide wish lists that NGA members shop to fulfill. We individually select school uniforms for low-income students, holiday gifts for homeless families and linens and personal care items for shelters and rehabilitation centers. The personal attention from our members, along with the new items provided, help to uplift and equalize, while nurturing self-esteem.
Your generous tax-deductible gift will help us fund our mission to help those in need. Together, we can make a difference.
